SVOBODA.KG: “UZBEKISTAN HAS A SOLID LEGAL FRAMEWORK AIMED AT DEEPENING REFORMS IN THE ECONOMIC SPHERE”
Svoboda.kg Information and Analytical Agency published an article on the results of the Tashkent scientific-practical conference “The Constitution of Uzbekistan - the basis of legal reforms”.
The article noted that the Main Law, developed under the guidance of President Islam Karimov, has fixed the basic principles of the state and society, laid the foundation for their implementation.
It reported that over the past period, the Parliament has adopted a number of codes, laws and other acts that serve as a base for radical reforms in political, legal, socio-economic, cultural and spiritual spheres.
“The Constitution of Uzbekistan has reformed government system, formed mechanisms for the implementation of the principle of its branches separation, defined powers of legislative and representative bodies, strengthened control functions and carried out liberalization of the judicial-legal sphere”, informed Svoboda.kg.
The article outlined that changes and amendments to the Constitution, on the basis of the Concept of further deepening the democratic reforms and establishing civil society, and the adoption of several laws in the field of nation-building provided further development and optimization of checks’ and balances’ mechanisms between the main subjects of the government.
Besides, the source informed that a solid legal base in the country’s economy is formed due to the Constitution. As a result, the republic is rapidly developing small business and private entrepreneurship to ensure state security and inviolability of private property.
