\"UZBEKISTAN AIMS AT FURTHER IMPROVEMENT OF SCO ON THE INTERNATIONAL SCENE\"
German electronic publications published articles devoted to the activities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the framework of our country\'s presidency.

In particular, the information Internet resources Fair News, Presse Echo, Live-PR noted that in Uzbekistan, which providing rapid progress on their own path of development, is paid special attention to the expansion of international cooperation, including in the framework of such kind of organizations as the SCO.

As sources says, the strengthening of constructive cooperation for providing of sustainable social-economic development in the Eurasian region is priority of Uzbekistan\'s chairmanship in the SCO .

It`s known that China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are the main members of the SCO at present. Afghanistan, Belarus, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan have observer status in the organization. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Turkey and Sri Lanka acting like partners in dialogue.

The German portal also introduces its readers to the work of two SCO permanent bodies - the Secretariat is headquartered in Beijing and the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS), which is headquartered in Tashkent. It is reported that the Secretariat shall perform the executive function, provides organizational and technical and information support activities carried out within the organization. And the main objectives of RATS are developing measures for the consolidation of the member countries\' efforts to combat terrorism, extremism and separatism, drug trafficking and weapons, proliferation of mass destruction weapons.

The signing of the Joint Declaration on Cooperation between the Secretariats of the UN and the SCO in April 2010 in Tashkent became an important historical event in the activity of the SCO.

In conclusion it emphasizes that in the period of its chairmanship in the SCO Uzbekistan aims at further strengthening the credibility of the organization in the international arena through the development and implementation of initiatives arising from the goals, objectives and principles of the SCO.
