Security services of the SCO countries discussed in Tashkent measures on neutralizing terrorist activity
Security services of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have discussed in Tashkent prevention of terrorist attacks involving suicide bombers and counter measures to penetration of international terrorists from abroad at the meeting of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (RATS), the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Kazakhstan, the People\'s Republic of China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The delegates have agreed on the common measures to neutralize terrorist activities, including suppression of exit of citizens of the SCO member states abroad to participate in terrorist activities.
They have discussed issues of improving the work aimed at formation immunity to radical religious ideology of the population of the SCO Member States, prevention of terrorist acts with use of suicide bombers.
It has also been considered the results of the Program of cooperation of the SCO member states in combating terrorism, separatism, and extremism for 2013-2015 and the progress of implementation of the SCO RATS Council resolutions. Draft report on activities of the SCO RATS in 2015 of the RATS Council to the SCO Council of Heads of SCO Member States.
The decision to hold the common border operation \"Unity-2016\" by the forces and means of border services of the competent bodies of the SCO member states has been made.
