International Conference discusses Parliamentarism
The experience of developed countries on formation of parliament was discussed during the two-day international conference entitled \"Parliamentarism: experience of foreign countries\" held in Tashkent on 30 September ? 1 October.
The event that was attended by representatives of international organisations including the UN and NGOs from the US, France, UK, Japan, Italy, Canada, Germany, India, Poland, Russia and others was organized by the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Research under the President of Uzbekistan and Central Election Committee in cooperation with Conrad Adenauer Foundation (Germany) within the parliamentary election campaign in Uzbekistan.
Leading politicians, MPs, diplomats, scientists and analytics specialized in research of parliamentarism also participated in the forum.
The participants exchanged with views on international experience on formation of parliament, various factors that assist to increase the efficiency of parliament, and also issues regarding to legal conditions for establishing bicameral parliament in Uzbekistan and future of bicameral parliamentary system.
