In these bright days when our Homeland is covered with the emerald green, when it demonstrates its incomparable splendor and beauty, and when one feels the breath of the spring the long and impatiently awaited the fête of Navruz comes to our land.

I am happy to congratulate from the bottom of my heart you, my dears, and in your persons all our fellow countrymen and entire nation on this festival of Navruz ? the sign of revival and rejuvenation, beauty and charm, kindness and generosity, and express my sincere sympathy, respect and esteem.

We congratulate the ambassadors of foreign countries, representatives of international organizations, foreign mass media, and all our distinguished guests who are participating today at our commemorations in this revered venue, and express to them our respect through the warm and heartfelt greetings.

On behalf of our people and nation we address our greetings and wishes to the peoples of the far countries and close neighbors, who live with us side-by-side, as well as to our foreign partners and friends.

Dear friends!

Truly indeed, the most ancient f?te of Navruz ? the Oriental new year which traces back with its roots the faraway and long-gone times of ?Avesto? and has more than three thousands year-old history is the most valued, dear and beloved national holiday for us. This holiday brings the revival and breath of spring, and had been deeply imbibed into the nature of our nation, its conscience and mind, soul and spirit. It delivers the joy and delight to each family and household.

In this beautiful season each and every person living on our land once again involuntarily feels how our surrounding nature is colorful and gorgeous, how incomparable and glamorous it is.

As the sun warms the earth, the trees blossom and existence reawakens it is natural that the soul and mood of the humankind shall be unlocked and his flesh, blood and bones shall be empowered with new energy and strength, vigor, determination and resoluteness.

In this festive celebration the young and old, each and every person deeply realizes himself as a inalienable part of the wonderful nature, and time and again comprehends that one should live by safeguarding the natural environment, standing by it side-by-side, and valuing each and every day of this tranquil life. At this time of the sacred rejuvenation in the hearts of our people, who sense the ongoing changes on earth, the joy and thankfulness shall appear.

In these bright days such noble and the heartiest feelings exhibit themselves. They are imbibed in the souls and hearts of every person. People render kindness and generosity to their relatives, obtain blessings of the most respected old men, show the munificence, care and attention to orphans, render the gratuitous assistance and support to the sick and the needy.

These very features and the noble values peculiar to our nation, i.e. tolerance and accord, unity and mutual respect are getting consolidated in the conscience and minds of our people. Their confidence in tomorrow is ever strengthening, - and these are reflecting our society?s current political and social atmosphere.

This very spiritual climate, undoubtedly, serves as the most solid basis and guarantee of the success and accomplishments our country has been securing for over the last years, and building the free life and democratic society worth of others? envy.

Our nation has a proverb with a profound meaning, which says: ?A good person is known by his eyes and a good year - from Navruz?. We are all witnessing how our Navruz this year starts with a full providence and sacred steps.

Inshaallah, the fact that these days both young and old, - all our fellow countrymen are celebrating the Navruz festivities with a profound joy and elevated spirit in the towns and villages, as well as tranquil resorts of our Homeland shall be a vivid evidence and confirmation of this.

May the Creator Himself bestows upon our nation and people, each and every family and household a blessing, happiness and delight, and makes our homes bountiful.

Let our farmers be successful, our yield and crops be plentiful!

Let our country be tranquil and our nation be well!
