GERMAN MEDIA: UZBEKISTAN HAS EFFECTIVE ELECTORAL SYSTEM
Upcoming presidential elections on December 4 in Uzbekistan becomes the subject of intense attention of the media in Germany.
In particular, the information portal Presse Echo has posted an article about the preparations for the elections.
\"To date, all the political parties of Uzbekistan have nominated their candidates for the post of President of the country. Some of them had already balloted for the this place in the elections of the past year \", - said the German edition.
Another news portal Usbekistan Online announces the signing of bilateral agreements of the Central Election Commission with a number of leading mass media of the country on the coverage of the preparation and conduct of elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to them, the media in a timely manner will inform the residents about the views of the state and public figures, experts and analysts, journalists of foreign states.
The author of the article is director of Usbekistan Online Gerhard Birkle who participated as an international observer in the parliamentary and presidential elections in Uzbekistan in 2014 and 2015.
He notes that in our country in the past few years an effective electoral system has formed, socio-political activity of citizens has been improved.
\"Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan has accumulated a great experience of interaction with the media. The country has already approved the relevant laws and regulations governing the transparency of the electoral process and ensuring guarantees of electoral rights of citizens\", - the author writes.
Providing equal opportunities to candidates for the use of the media in the election campaign, bringing to the voters and the public of their programs, positions on further socio-political and economic advancement of Uzbekistan are indicated as the key factors in ensuring the transparency of the elections.
