American experts on elections in Uzbekistan
International observers from the United States shared their views and comments on the results of presidential elections in Uzbekistan in an interview to information agency \"Jahon\".

Professor at the State University of New York, director of the Center for \"Global scientific publications\" Parviz Morvidj:

- I as a foreign observer had the opportunity to personally observe all stages of the electoral process. In this connection I would like to emphasize that the elections and their results have become an important achievement not only for Uzbekistan, but also for Central Asia.

Its commendable that your country, maintaining the integrity and without succumbing to outside influence, it remains true independent republic.

In general, the elections in Uzbekistan have shown a high level of activity of all segments of the population. It has been seen how the political culture of citizens has increased over the years of independence, and how deeply people are interested in continuing the process of reform and modernization of the country.

Professor at New York University Astrid Cerny:

- During the visit to Uzbekistan, I visited Tashkent, Surkhandarya and Navoi regions. Acquainted with the work of polling stations in urban and rural areas.

I would also like to emphasize that the whole electoral system of the republic is built so as to provide easy process for ordinary voters. The final stage is of particular interest - anouncement of counting of votes of the results in the national media.

In my opinion, the election results reaffirmed their commitment to the further development of the republic on the way of building a democratic state with a strong civil society.
