Voting continues: more than 85% already voted
At the polling stations continues voting on elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As of 17:00 Tashkent time it was attended by more than 17,728,000 people, accounting for 85,2% of the total number of voters included in the lists.
These figures were cited during the regular briefing for international observers, representatives of domestic and foreign media at the National Press Center on coverage of Presidential elections in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Central Election Commission Chairman M. Abdusalomov in particular, said that the voting process at the polling stations established at representations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Indonesia, Thailand and India have been completed.
The process of voting continues at polling stations established at the offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Egypt, Greece, Latvia, Turkey, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy , Poland, France, Switzerland, UK. Also opened polling stations at representations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United States.
Elections are held in full compliance with democratic principles enshrined in the Constitution, the Law \"On Elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan\" and other laws.
At the moment, the Central Election Commission has received no reports of any violations of the electoral law.
The next briefing on the results of the voting will be held at 22:00 Tashkent time.
