USAID PROJECT PROVIDES LEGAL SYSTEMS TO UZBEK ASSOCIATIONS
30 regional branches of professional associations of Uzbekistan received useful New Year gifts. USAID Enterprise Development Project (EDP) together with the Fund for Entrepreneurs? Informational Support ?Zakovat? provided them with information and legal system ?Norma?, electronic reference systems ?Practical accounting? and ?Practical taxation?.

National Association of Accountants and Auditors, Association of Teachers of Business-disciplines of Uzbekistan, Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Uzbekistan and their branches in all regions of Uzbekistan are the local training partners of USAID EDP.

The objective of the project is to integrate Central Asia business sector in the world economy through creation of favorable environment for entrepreneurs and training of business community on methods and ways of management necessary for economic growth. Local training partners play significant role in the latter task. In addition to business consulting to small and medium business entities, the Project is active in development of professional associations and support to the reforms in accounting.

Patrick Kadian, USAID EDP Deputy Country Director in Uzbekistan, said: ?We provide our partners with ?Norma? system to ensure free access by entrepreneurs and associations? members to the reliable and up-to-date legislation base of Uzbekistan, and we hope it will enable them to optimize their activities.?

?Associations conduct specialist courses for accountants, auditors and top-managers working in private sector of economy. Subject to successful passing of exams the trainees can obtain international qualification ?Certified Accounting Practitioner ? ??? or ?Certified International Professional Accountant ? CIPA?,? he said.

Makhmud Zaynutdinov, Executive Director of \"Zakovat\" Fund, said: ?Information and legal system ?Norma? is developed on the basis of advanced computer technologies. In addition to continuous updating of information on Uzbekistan legislation, it is accompanied with the case studies from accounting practice, calculations and examples how to fill in various reporting forms. These real examples are very helpful both in training and in daily operations of any enterprise.?
