President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov left on a state visit to Beijing on 19 April on the invitation of the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao. During the visit, issues of expansion and development of the Uzbek-Chinese cooperation, as well as important problems of regional and international character will be considered. Signing of a number of bilateral documents aimed at strengthening interaction of the two states in various spheres is planned.
