President of Uzbekistan will appoint and relieve top officials of the State Tax Committee, in line with changes introduced by the parliament in the law ?On state tax services?. According to changes, prime minister of Uzbekistan will nominate candidate to the post of the chairman of the State Tax Committee and the president will appoint the candidate and relieve the official from the post. The new edition of law states that deputy chairmen of the State Tax Committee, head of tax department of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city will also be appointed and relieved by the president.

Chairman of the State Tax Committee will appoint and exempt from their posts officials of the State Customs Committee, deputies of heads of tax offices of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city, heads of departments of state tax offices of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city.
