The students of the International Relations and International Economic Relations Faculties of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy visited the Senate to familiarize with its activities.

The visit and the meeting with the members of the upper chamber of the parliament were organized by the Senate’s Committee for foreign policy issues.

The students got acquainted with the role of the Senate in the state’s political system, the functions of the Senate committees, as we as the day-to-day activities of the senators.

The future diplomats were interested in the procedure of appointment of the ambassadors to foreign states – this function is within the Senate’s competencies.

At the end of the visit, the students got acquainted with the exhibits of the newly opened museum of the Senate.
