The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a regular meeting on November 13. The meeting was led by the Commission Chairman M. Abdusalomov.

In accordance with Article 27 of the Law “On elections to the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan” the Central Election Commission has considered the issue of the election campaign coverage of political parties and candidates for the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan in the media. In order to ensure the equal rights of use of the media during the election campaign the Central Election Commission, in consultation with political parties has identified the order of use of electronic and print media among candidates and political parties participating in elections to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis.

In order to widely inform voters about election date, candidates for the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, regional, district and municipal Kengashes, creation of equal conditions, the Central Election Commission approved samples of informational posters.

The Central Election Commission adopted appropriate resolutions on above mentioned issues.

The meeting also considered other matters relating to the powers of the CEC.
