State Committee and Ernst & Young discuss issues of cooperation
On June 10, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on privatization, de-monopolization and competition development held a meeting with representatives of «Ernst & Young» LLC, led by the head of the consulting practice E&Y for Central Asia and the Caucasus, Xenia Babushkina.
At the meeting, the head of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on privatization, de-monopolization and competition development briefed on the main activities of the committee, including the privatization issues, improvement of corporate governance, antimonopoly regulation, working with unprofitable and marginally profitable enterprises.
Representatives of Ernst & Young expressed interest in cooperation with the Committee as part of measures to further improve the investment climate, improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses and the willingness to share its experience in these areas.
Leaders of the Committee welcomed Ernst & Young’s intention and expressed their desire to cooperate.
