President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov called Russia?s involvement in the Ukrainian election crisis ?excessive? and harmful.

?Russia?s excessive demonstration of its willingness to see a certain outcome in the vote has done more harm than good,? Karimov said at a news briefing in Tashkent on Thursday.

President Karimov also overlaid responsibility in the situation in Ukraine to present authorities.

He said shortsighted policy of Ukrainian authorities resulted in the political crisis in this country.
