UZBEK PARLIAMENT PASSES TWO LAWS, AMENDMENTS TO LEGISLATION
Parliament of Uzbekistan of second convocation is continuing its 16th session in Tashkent.
The MPs considered two issues as of 13:00 Tashkent Time (GMT +5). First of them was Law ?On protected natural zones?.
The new law, which was adopted by MPs, should serve to increase protected zones in Uzbekistan from existing 4.5% from overall country area to 10%, as set by international standards.
Uzbek parliamentarians also discussed new Law ?On Commerce and Industrial Chamber?. The MPs passed this law too. According to new law, the chamber should serve to protect businesses in Uzbekistan from illegal infringements and stimulate people to do business.
The MPs considered changes and amendments to some Uzbek legislative documents and abolished some of them. They also approved some resolutions of the president of Uzbekistan.Uzbek parliament also introduced changes to structure of Uzbek Constitutional Court. Bakhtiyor Mirbobaev was appointed as deputy chairman of Constitutional Court. Mirbobaev worked as presidential advisor prior to appointment.
Qahramon Isarov was appointed as first deputy chairman of Uzbek Supreme Court and Shoyunus Goziev became judge of Supreme Court. Shukhrat Mamadiyarov was approved as judge of Supreme Economic Court.
Currently, Ombudsman of Oliy Majlis Sayyora Rashidova is delivering a report on activity of Ombudsman during last five years.
The 16th session of Uzbek parliament is continuing.
