On the seminar ?Important issues of Ombudsman?s interaction with the state bodies and NGOs in the sphere of ensuring the adherence and the protection of human rights?
In accordance with Ombudsman?s working plan two-day seminar ?On the important issues of Ombudsman?s interaction with the state bodies and NGOs in the sphere of ensuring the adherence and the protection of human rights? was held on March, 2007 in Djizzak city.
This event was organized by the Ombudsman in cooperation with the Khokimiyat (municipality) of Djizzak region and law enforcement as well as the civil society institutes.
The representatives of Djizzak region Khokimiyat, the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Ministry of Justice, the National Centre on Human Rights, regional departments of the Ministries of Interior, Healthcare and Justice, the Ofiice of the Prosecutor General and trade unions, regional representative of Ombudsman as well as the representative of Konrad Adenauer foundation in Central Asia, Kazakhstan and South Caucasus have participated in the seminar.
Such a wide range of participation proved that during a Ombudsman?s decade-long existence it has found its niche in the system of protection of citizen?s interests, developed the forms of impact to the officials violating citizen?s rights involving the representatives of the state and public organizations into this process.
The seminar was the second in the series of similar events on aforementioned subject. First seminar was conducted in Gulistan city on January, 2007. Seminars on the subject are scheduled in the cities of Termez, Andijan, Navoi, Ferghana and Tashkent during 2007.
