The activities of the Special Olympi?s Uzbekistan organizations were discussed in Tashkent. Representatives of the diplomatic circles and international organizations, as well as women?s committees, sports and educational sectors participated in the discussion.

The Special Olympi?s movement was set up in Uzbekistan in 2001. The Special Olympi?s Uzbekistan organization aims to provide support to the disabled and promote healthy lifestyle, including through various competitions.

Members of Special Olympi?s Uzbekistan won prizes in a number of competitions last year in Belgium, Italy, Russia, Poland, Turkey and Kazakhstan.

The participants of the meeting in Tashkent approved the plan of actions for Special Olympi?s Uzbekistan for the years 2007-2010.
