SamAuto of Uzbekistan and Japanese Isuzu Motors launched production of Isuzu buses and trucks in Samarkand.

?Our goal is to reach markets of Asia and CIS,? Goro Shintano, Isuzu Motors vice president, said at the launching ceremony. Isuzu currently exports its products to more than 100 states, he added.

By the end of 2007, SamAuto plans producing 1,500 buses and trucks.
