FOREIGN EXPERTS: “THE NEW APPROACH OF UZBEKISTAN IS AN EXAMPLE FOR MANY COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD”
A “round table” on “High-tech medical care for children on an example of a cochlear implant: the Uzbek model” was held in Vienna.
The Embassy of our country in Austria, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the company MED-EL organized the event with the participation of the Uzbek-Austrian Friendship Society.
The meeting noted that the implementation of the principle of “Healthy mother - healthy child” is being a priority of the state policy since the early years of independence in our country. Large-scale national programs have been fulfilled on this basis.
Uzbekistan has formed a qualitatively new system of medical care that meets the highest requirements, - stressed during the event. Multidisciplinary medical institutions, including childcare are working effectively in the Republic at the present days.
The event reported that operations of cochlear implantation have been conducted under the State program “Year of a healthy child” in the Republican Center of Pediatrics since 2014. These diseases are treated only in a few countries of the world, due to the state care, children are healed for free today. 112 children have been operated in a current year in the country. The rehabilitation of more than a hundred children is planned to carry out annually.
In addition, participants of the “round table” exchanged with their views and experiences along these lines.
Foreign experts have noted that Uzbekistan applied a new approach to the protection of motherhood and childhood, upbringing of comprehensively developed generation, which gives positive results and serves as a model for many countries of the world and confirms the effectiveness of a strong social policy pursued by the authority of the Republic.
The Uzbek delegation visited “Rudolf Stiftung” clinic and during the event have held workshops on the topic with the participation of leading scientists and experts.
