INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION... Tashkent is getting prepared to host the season’s largest exhibition event - the ninth International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange on October 26 - November 2
The event is traditionally divided into two stages - spring and autumn. Territorial fairs were held in April-June in all regions of the country to wrap up with six industrial exhibitions in the capital. They were attended by almost 90,000 people.
They offered much to see: 4,862 companies presented more than 22,000 kinds of goods, including 710 kinds that have been released in 2015. The contracts concluded in the territorial fairs amounted to 377.5 billion soums (growth by 24.5%), and exported products amounted to $180.8 million (growth by 8.4%). Companies signed agreements worth 617.9 billion soums (growth by 5.2%) in the framework of capital\'s industrial exhibitions in Tashkent (currency rates of CB RU from 28.09.2015 1$= 2615.91 soums).
To date 20,000 square meters have already been allocated for the exhibition to house four pavilions, two atriums, three outdoor exhibition areas and two conference rooms. The organizers created a specialized online application unit at the official website of the fair, and are currently working on the creation of a catalogue of 2,100 industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan and their products.
In October, representatives of the domestic industry will come together at Uzexpocentre to present their achievements to foreign and local customers. The organizers expect some foreign guests. Last year, the volume of export contracts exceeded $7.2 billion. The top three customers were represented by Russia (29%), Kazakhstan (22%) and China (10.5%).
