OSCE Centre in Tashkent to present handbook on human rights commitments
A handbook featuring fundamental OSCE human rights obligations and documents will be presented tomorrow in Tashkent.
The book, jointly published in the Uzbek language by the OSCE Centre in Tashkent and the National Human Rights Centre of Uzbekistan, will help students, law educators, legal practitioners and state officials learn more about international human rights obligations.
\"The publication is a good example of how the OSCE Centre co-operates with Uzbek institutions to promote human rights,\" said Ambassador Miroslav Jenca, Head of the OSCE Centre. \"We expect to have more similar joint projects to further that goal to help Uzbekistan implement its commitments in the OSCE framework.\"
A previous version of the human rights handbook was published in 2002.
