Mercy Corps, USAID help to provide gas to Uzbek region
Mercy Corps, international humanitarian organization, at financial assistance of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), will implement a project on gasification of Abdusamat village in Ferghana region.
The release of the Mercy Corps said the project will be realized with Peaceful Communities Initiative (PCI) program. The village located in Dangara district and its population is about 2,500 people.
Maydunjon Ahmadkulov, leader of initiative group, said that the local administration made a lot to solve gasification problem, but due to financial problems stopped the project on gasification of the village.
Nafisa Gaimova, housewife, said that the village population is happy that their problem will be solved positively. She added that at the assistance of Mercy Corps and USAID the village will have gas in a month-term.
