On November 9 President Islam Karimov received ADB President Haruhiko Kuroda, presidential press service reported.

\"There are good and reliable relations between Uzbekistan and the ADB\" , said Islam Karimov.\" Our country cooperates with through many international financial institutions, but the ADB holds a special place. \"Bilateral cooperation includes such spheres as transport infrastructure, city water supplies, agriculture, education, SME and private enterprise. As of November 1, the ADB has financed 17 projects in Uzbekistan worth 0m. The ADB holds first place among international financial institutions.

The President expressed confidence that cooperation would strengthen.

H.Kuroda underlined that he is in favor of further broadening cooperation with Uzbekistan. He expressed thanks for his warm welcome.

During the meeting there was an exchange of opinions concerning Uzbek-ADB relations, execution of joint projects and the search for new projects.
