EUROPEAN CINEMA FESTIVAL TO START ON 19 NOVEMBER
European Cinema Festival will open on 19 November in Tashkent.
All movies will be demonstrated in the original language and in Russian at Yuriy Gagarin movie theatre.
The festival will open with Latvian ?Destiny mills?, confined with Latvian Independence Day. The drama by Janis Streiks on Latvia?s modern history blends the lambent humour and folklore.
?Somewhere in Africa? (Germany) is the title of the movie to be shown on 20 November. The work was directed by Caroline Link. The film received Academy Award in the nomination ?Best foreign movie of 2003?.
22 and 23 November will be devoted to French cinematography: ?Sentimental destinies? and ?Volter?s mistake?.
On 24 November ?Escape to paradise? (Switzerland) directed by Duzgun Ayhan will be presented, on 25-26 November Polish movies ?Final mission? and ?Kamo gryadeshi?, on 27-28 November Turkish ?Gangster? and ?Unsent letters?, and on 29 November ?Kititse? of Czech Republic directed by Brabets.
