Uzbek leader receives Japan?s special envoy
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov met special envoy of the government of Japan Kyoko Nakayama at presidential residence Oqsaroy on 14 July.
Uzbek President said: ?We consider you not only as an official representative of the Japanese government, but also as a trustful friend of Uzbekistan, Uzbek people. Your activity as the ambassador in our country has left a deep trace in Uzbek-Japanese relations.\"
During Nakayama\'s ambassadorship in Uzbekistan, the Uzbek-Japanese relations significantly improved in all spheres.
The sides stressed that the two countries were steadily developing cooperation on the international arena.
Japan supports Uzbek President\'s initiative to create common Central Asian market and set up regional water energy, transport and food consortiums.
Kyoko Nakayama and Islam Karimov also exchanged opinions on further strengthening of Uzbek-Japanese relations.
