Parliamentarian commission meets foreign diplomats
Independent parliamentarian commission on investigation of Andijan events met the working group on monitoring of investigation and measures of the government of Uzbekistan on stabilization of situation in Andijan on 21 June.
As earlier reported, the working group includes representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign countries, accredited in Uzbekistan.
Muhammadilhom Yuldoshev, chairman of parliamentarian commission, informed diplomats on preliminary results of work of commission. He said that the commission paid attention to detailed investigation of all conditions of Andijan events and determined reasons of the criminal acts, as well as assessed actions of the government and armed forces.
During the work of commission, its members met representatives of Andijan city and Andijan region, law enforcement bodies, public organizations and neighborhood committees. The committee visited objects, attacked by terrorists and burnt administrative buildings.
MPs familiarized with preliminary probe materials and measures of the law enforcement bodies against organizers and executors of criminal acts. The commission also worked on comparison official death toll to those from foreign sources.
Preliminary analysis of the materials reveals that armed actions were thoroughly planned and coordinated. The criminals aimed at seize power in the region and destabilise Central Asian region.
Parliamentarian commission founded out that negligence and irresponsibility of law enforcement bodies and local authorities.
Mr. Yuldoshev answered to all questions of diplomats and said that he is ready o further cooperation and interaction with the working group.
The release of parliamentarian commission said that the diplomats are planning to visit Andijan city and Andijan region soon.
