China supports Uzbekistan in its efforts to combat terrorism and extremism, a Chinese envoy to Uzbekistan said in his interview to Jahon news agency.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Uzbekistan Gao Yushen said in his interview that the government of China against of external interference and support efforts of Uzbekistan in ensuring stability in the country.

He said that creation of special commission, including diplomatic corps, was important step to get objective information on Andijan events.

During the visit of the Uzbek leader to China, some 24 documents were signed. The most significant of which is an agreement between Uzbekneftegaz (Uzbek Oil and Gas) and China National Petroleum Corp on creation of oil joint venture for US$600 million.
