Khorazm is expanding its presence in the global network
Modern information and communication technologies are not spared the tourism sector of Uzbekistan. An original pilot field for their implementation will be Khorazm region, where 15 technological projects will be implemented in the coming years.
Today, many tourists, before visiting the country, usually look for information about it on the Internet. Unfortunately, Uzbekistan is not a lot of quality specialized tourism resources that can attract foreign tourists to the regions. A shift in the positive direction was the recent launch of the Uzbekturizm’s Portal “Welcome to Uzbekistan”. Its main objective is to promote the national tourist brand in the world.
Khorazm region is also making a big bet on the expansion of its presence on the Internet. At the Mamun Academy a site Visit Khorazm was created. It is planned to put movies and 3D photo - images of tourist attractions, electronic maps and directions to them, to create an opportunity on-line payment and ticketing, hotel accommodation and other services using international cards. In addition, the site will undergo modernization of the provincial authorities with the introduction of advanced interactive services, placement of information about the tourism potential, registry, hotel, showing the location of attractions and leisure facilities.
For convenience of tourist arrivals the number of zones Wi-Fi will be greatly expanded, special items renting tablets to set up, which will include a map of the attractions of Khorezm. This will enable and support local producers, as just a couple of months ago in the Navoi FIEZ started a production of the first domestic tablets. As for the more efficient operation developers are working on applications on tourism for the iOS and Android platforms with the necessary information about hotels, tourist destinations, tour operators, tourist attractions. In addition, detailed information about the monuments of Khorazm is located on the popular e-cards, for example, from Google, work continues on a 3D model of Khiva in Google Earth, preparation of articles for the Wikipedia electronic encyclopedia, devoted to the region.
Significant changes are taking place in the provision of technological services. In particular, there is a development of software for kiosks with information on attractions and infrastructure, cars are equipped with GPS taxi services navigators in the tour generated telephone hotline.
