President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan on 8-10 September 2013 at the invitation of President Islam Karimov.

The state and prospects of strengthening Uzbek-Chinese strategic partnership, enhancing trade-economic and investment cooperation, the issues of interaction within international organizations are planned for discussion, and the parties are expected to exchange views on topical regional problems during the course of the visit.

The heads of state are to sign the Friendship and Cooperation Treaty and a Joint Declaration on further development and deepening bilateral relations of strategic partnership, as well as a range of documents on economic cooperation following the negotiations.
