The young pianist from Uzbekistan earns world recognition
Graduate of the Uspensky Republican Specialized Music Academic Lyceum Behzod Abduraimov wins the hearts of European audience. Today, his concerts in Spain, UK and France are sold out. Love of the audience the young talent earned after his triumph at the International Competition of Pianists in England in 2009.
His triumph in London kept in mind of spectators especially. The organizers noted: “His performance of Sergey Prokofiev’s concert for fortepiano ¹3 at the Royal Festival Hall together with the London Philharmonic Orchestra was so inflammatory that the audience applauded him in the standing position. This performance brought him the grand prize.”
Behzod himself tells about his love for music with great sincerity:
“I play piano since my six. And from that first day my parents believed in my success, and tuned me to a long diligent work, they always helped me and supported me in my creative path. Big role in my music activity played my mentors as well. In Tashkent I was taught by Tamara Afanasievna Popovich. All her apprentices are grateful to this devoted person for her huge help in their creative path. Tamara Afanasievna devoted the whole her life to music and her students. And I am happy that it was she who opened the charming world of music to me.”
It should be noted that the virtuoso playing of Behzod Abduraimov highly evaluated worldwide. Many critics and art historians call him a ‘pianist of demonic power’, and ‘inimitable talent’, and even ‘new Horowitz.’ Currently, Behzod Abduraimov is concerting in Spain and makes great plans for future.
