The Center on transplantation of stem cells from bone marrow will be opened in Uzbekistan
In Tashkent at the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be opened Center of transplantation of stem cells from bone marrow.



It was created with the support of Mehr Nuri Foundation, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Turkish Agency for coordination and cooperation.

Note that the center of the transplantation of stem cells from bone marrow is the only one medical facility of this kind in Uzbekistan. Its’ main purpose - preparing and transplantation of stem cells from bone marrow in hematologic patients.

Worthy to say that bone marrow transplantation is a complex procedure and takes place in several stages. In the preparatory phase before the transplantation of the stem cells of the patient is held a special treatment. In the second stage patient’s stem cells are collected, which are then gradually frozen and placed in kriobunker that preserves stem cells from 70 to 100 years.

- If there is no need for long-term preservation, and required emergency surgery, after the freezing of the regime conditioning, appropriate training, laboratory studies of stem cells are administered back to the patient. At each of these steps various complications can take place, so the whole process of transplantation is held under the close supervision of doctors - says MD, hematologist of the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdurahmon Kaumov.

In addition, to that a bone marrow transplantation often need people with a variety of blood diseases. In Uzbekistan, the first such operation local experts will hold at the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, together with Turkish counterparts in October-November this year.

- Under the supervision of Turkish doctors is planned to spend a few such operations. At present, the joint work of Russian and Turkish experts in this field is based on the contract with the Cancer Center Bone Marrow Transplantation in Ankara - told us Abdurahmon Kaumov.

Today at the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion of the Republic of Uzbekistan there is a modern physical infrastructure, laboratories equipped with modern European equipment which allows obtaining the most accurate results.

Currently, at the Institute\'s work highly qualified professionals. More than 20 doctors, nurses, medical personnel trained repeatedly at the Cancer Center Bone Marrow Transplantation in Ankara. (Source: Uzreport Agency)
