On Second Breath
Due to financial recovery, over 22 thousand jobs have been created



In Uzbekistan, the projects included in the program of financial recovery, mastered over 1.4 trillion soums (Currency rates of CB from 12.07.2013 1$=2098.56 soums), of investments.

The State Committee on Privatization, De-Monopolization and Competition held a press conference, during which it spoke about the work done on the company\'s financial recovery and the restoration work on being vacant and constructed facilities.

In the country working groups established in cooperation with commercial banks and local provincial authorities, currently have revealed more than 10,000 low-power, idle and unfinished projects. On them appropriate proposals were prepared to restore manufacturing and creating new jobs.

As noted by Viktoria Mustafina, Head, Financial Analysis of Insolvent Enterprises under the State Committee on Privatization, Demonopolization and Competition Development, proposals has been developed for financial recovery over 8,000 enterprises and objects of privatization of 290 vacant facilities and the implementation of entrepreneurs at \"zero\" purchase price with investment commitments of 263 objects. It is also planned to transfer to public and non-governmental organizations 161 facilities, as well as at expense of centralized sources of funding - to complete construction of 138 facilities and to lease 232 entrepreneurs objects.

In addition, a demolition of obsolete facilities, as well as the transfer to the reserve fund of local municipal administrations of released as a result of the demolition of about 350 hectares of land are planned. Given that in these areas there are engineering and communication networks, creating small industrial zones on their basis is planned in the future.

In general, to the date, over 1.4 trillion soums of investments for the projects are included in the program of financial recovery, of which 756.2 billion soums - commercial banks’ loans. Assisted enterprises produced goods and rendered services for 1.88 billion soums, including exported US$48m and created about 22.6 thousand additional jobs. (Source: Uzdaily.com)
