The unique joint projects, premiere performances based on the classics - about this and many other told the creative staff of the theater at the press conference.



True wonders take place on the stage of this theater. In the art workshop of the talented director, the Honored Worker of Arts Nabi Abdurahmanov and his team are created the plays that are warmly welcomed by the audience both at home and abroad.

The next 84th season turned out rich in events and emotions in the history of the theater.

“This season, I think, will be remembered for a long time. First of all, it is because it precedes the anniversary of the theater, which we will celebrate within the traditional International Festival Theatre.UZ in October. Second, we were able to recover two interesting plays – “Devil Woman” on the comedy by Prosper Merime and “The Scarlet Flower” based on the tale of Sergei Aksakov. In addition, for young people, as well as the theater troupe were conducted workshops with involvement of leading drama art figures, including the famous French actress and playwright Pierrette Dyupuae,” said Nabi Abdurahmanov. “We continue to tour with our plays around the world. Weighty support at that is rendered by the Fund Forum. So, in April, we took part in the 15th International Theater Festival “Meetings in Russia”, held in Saint Petersburg. In this jubilee year for the festival the top 15 participants have performed their plays for the audience. We once again presented the comedy-tale by Carlo Gozzi “The Princess Turandot.” For artistic achievements and contribution to the development of this festival the Youth Theater of Uzbekistan was awarded an honorary prize named after the People’s Artist of Russia Kirill Lavrov.

With another significant event has been marked this season. Since April 2013 began the rehearsals of the joint project of Uzbekistan with Israel. This work we carry out with the author of the play “Happy End” Ido Netanyahu. The premiere of the play is to take place at the 4th International Festival Theatre.UZ.
