Holy necropolis - an ancient monument of Bukhara
Among the numerous historical monuments in bukhara one of the most famous and revered is the memorial of sheikh bahauddin naqshband (1318-1389). He was spiritual patron saint of the city and founder of the sufi School \"naqshbandi\".
The outstanding complex of monuments was formed over five hundred years. Its construction was begun in the XVI century around the mausoleum of Sheikh, who was buried near his native village Kasri Orifon located in the north-east, 12 kilometers far from Bukhara.
Today it is an architectural com¬plex surrounded by richly decorated verandas, in the center of which is amausoleum is situated the largest khanakah. Adjacent to the court of the mosque Muzaffar Khan, the minaret of the XVIII century, the mosque Kushbegi of the XIX century and a small madrasahs. At the en-trance there is located the necropolis of the rulers of Bukhara in the XVI century. One of the sightseeing of the complex is an elaborately deco¬rated \"chetyreharochnaya sakka-the travelers can relax and quench their thirst.
The tomb of the great theologian is the most important shrine and the place of pilgrimage for many thou¬sands of Muslim. By the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov in 1993, the memorial was restored on the occasion of the 675th anniversary of Bahauddin Naqsh-band. After significant restoration work it has been recreated the origi¬nal appearance of buildings. Then there was built darvozahana - input place with a high dome.
Harmony of the architectural designs of the memorial creates a sense of calm, as if thoughts and as¬pirations are ennobled, Within the complex there is a pond, which lies on the banks of withered trunk of a mulberry. According to the legend, it has grown from the staff of Bahaud¬din. People think that this is a holy tree and should be touched with the wishes of the health for yourself and your family.
Bahouddin Nakshband earned the esteem and respect of the peo¬ple and had major influence on their mind. The great poets Abdurrah¬man Jami and Alisher Navoi were also one of his followers. Spiritual teacher called people to hard work, self-improvement, purity of heart and mind, rejection of luxury. People often use his famous saying \"dil ba Yoru, dast ba kor\", which expresses the idea that the heart should be with God, and hands with work. To¬day, believers from all parts of Uz¬bekistan and foreign countries come to the mausoleum Nakshband to pray, to honor the memory of Sheikh and ask for grace. So you can find out the people of Bukhara often say: \"Ba¬houddin balo Gardon\", which means \"Take the trouble, Bahouddin\".
