Significant Results of Cooperation
In Uzbekistan, an extensive work is carried out to strengthen health of the population, to further improve the quality and efficiency of medical services, health of mothers and children.
Resolutions of the President Islam Karimov \"On additional measures to protect the health of a mother and a child, to form a healthy generation\" dated 13 April 2009, and \"On the program of measures to further strengthen and enhance the effectiveness of the works on improving reproductive health, birth of a healthy child, forming physically and spiritually developed generation in 2009-2013\" dated from 1 July 2009 serve as an important guide to action in this direction.
A number of relevant tasks have been defined in the State Program \"The Year of Wellbeing and Prosperity\".
Public organizations, including Soghlom Avlod Uchun (For Healthy Generation) International Charity Fund make a worthy contribution to the protection of public health.
A number of projects are being implemented in collaboration with international organizations. In particular, children\'s hospital in Urta Chirchiq district of Tashkent region was completely reconstructed and strengthened its material and technical base with the assistance of Korea’s International Health Fund KOFIH.
The interregional mobile medical-social patronage team of the Fund is provided with a modern mobile clinic. A group of doctors have raised their qualification in South Korea.
Last year, in the framework of the cooperation, children with congenital heart disease and with joints, burns and other ailments have been undergone free treatment at hospitals of Germany’s \"Friedensdorf International\" organization, South Korea’s \"Save the Children\" International Fund, the KOFIH Fund and Inha University.
Cooperation of the Fund of Soghlom Avlod Uchun with international organizations is being strengthened. In the house of \"Mehribonlik\" (orphanage) of Yuqori Chirchiq district, South Korean cardiologists, orthopedists, ophthalmologists, surgeons and pharmacists together with Uzbek colleagues held a free medical examination using modern medical equipment.
