About this and others told the organizers of the Republican Book Festival

Reading books, their popularization turn an important factor in upbringing the younger generation. With this regard, in all regions jointly with the Uzbekistan Agency for Press and Information, the Union of Writers, the Republican Spirituality Center, Public Youth Movement “Kamolot”, Public Charity Fund “Mahalla”, city administrations and other agencies is annually organized the Republican Book Festival.

“More than hundred publishing houses and publishing departments under organizations and scientific institutions operate in the country.

Total number of polytrophic companies exceeds 1500. In international book fairs in China, Germany, Russia, Iran, Turkmenistan our publishing houses repeatedly won prize places,” says the director general of the Uzbekistan Agency for Press and Information, Omonulla Yunusov.

Within the event organized in the capital’s Ghafur Gulom Recreation Park were conducted various intellectual games and quizzes, including “The Best Reader”, “Family of Readers”, and others. Moreover, it was organized a meeting of young literary persons with readers, as well as concerts with popular singers, musicians, and beginning performers.
