Banks Caught in Networks
The country has a growing number of clients of mobile banking services The introduction of modern technology and innovation to become today one of the main factors in enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic economy. A special role in this process is played by the banking system, which is a basis of the economic model of Uzbekistan.

Commercial banks in the country, applying advances in information technology based on powerful, reliable and high-performance platforms today are creating new programs, while continuing to improve the IT infrastructure. These processes enhance the competitive environment between credit institutions, contribute to the quality of service and stimulate work towards the introduction of new electronic services. The banks to attract customers to continuously expand and update the range of services, becoming a kind of a supermarket to provide various financial services.

Experts point out that the development of the country\'s information and communication technologies has created a framework for improving the efficiency of commercial banks with domestic software. Within a short time the practice was introduced the client-bank. In addition, the country has a unified interbank payment system of the Central Bank, domestic payment systems of commercial banks, the interbank retail payment system Uz-Kart, which includes cards of all commercial banks, the agent\'s payment network Uz-Paynet, receiving payments for Payment of communication and utilities and other services, as well as retail payment system SMS-TO\'LOV.

With the expansion of market relations, the commercial banks have diversified their list of services, including developing the retail operations and increasing the quantity and quality of services offered to clients. A particular role in this process has been played by modern information technology, which is one of the main factors the emergence of new banking services and retail business development. Right now all over the country more than 44 thousand business entities are complex software client-bank and online-banking. Clients perform banking transactions via PCs and other electronic devices, without going to bank offices.

The remote maintenance is impossible to imagine without ATMs and info-kiosks. It would not be an exaggeration to say that an ATM is by its ease of use displaces a traditional chat between a client and a cashier, acting as a kind of mini-office bank. Now, with ATM, one can not only take cash, but also do various payments. It should be noted that for the convenience of customers all ATMs are combined into a single information network that allows customers to use their various banks. At present, more than 1.466 ATMs and info-kiosks are installed all over the country.

In this year, a number of plastic cards and terminals grows. An estimated number of plastic cards in the country have exceeded 9.7 million, and terminals and services – 116.000 pieces. It should be noted that as a consequence there is an increase and the number and types of transactions using cards. Last year itself, the volume of cashless payments exceeded 8.7 trillion soums, which is higher than in 2011 by 50%.

The task for the near future for commercial banks is to introduce innovative new types of non-cash payments. This trend, which has become an inseparable part of the global banking system, acts as one of the priorities of the national banking system. Experts emphasize that now is the part of the population and businesses have a huge demand for services on financial transactions, requiring a minimum investment of time, actions and funds. It is these customers’ and banks’ needs to stimulate a rational use of Internet and the expansion of remote banking services. In particular, today all the commercial banks to set up their own websites, which provides information on the available services and their new environment, as well as other information of interest to customers. Through the website of the Central Bank there are public online services.

The widespread use of mobile population has spurred commercial banks to provide modern banking services such as mobile banking and SMS-banking. At the moment, about 107.000 bank customers use this service. However, only in the first quarter of 2013, the number of data users of banking services has grown by 50%.
