Currently number of emitted banking payment cards in Uzbekistan reached 9.7 million units, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, commercial banks in the country installed about 116,000 POS-terminals.

The bank also said that currently there are 1,466 ATMs and info-kiosks, which were installed by the commercial banks.

The volume of transactions conducted with banking payment cards made up 8.7 trillion soums (Currency rates of CB from 23.05.2013 1$=2077.92soums) in 2012, which rose 50% year-on-year. (Source: UzDaily.com)
