Annual Best Soft Uzbekistan exhibition and software programmers forum opened at the UzExpoCentre National Exposition Centre in Tashkent.

It is organized by the Association of IT Enterprises and Organizationswith the support of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on information and communication technologies, the Coordination Council for Development of Computerization and ICT under the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Committee for Communications, Informatization and telecommunication technologies.

The seventh Best Soft Uzbekistan-2013 exhibition and forum manifest achievements of the national software industry, targeting both the business community and public authorities, as well as the general public.

Market software products in Uzbekistan demonstrates dynamic growth. This is facilitated by the constant attention, given by President Islam Karimov to sectoral development, the legal framework that protects the rights and interests of inventors and professionals. Due to this a number of large projects aimed at the development of the telecommunications infrastructure, mobile communications and other high-tech products are underway. Chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on information and communication technologies A.Jurabaev, deputy chairman of the State Committee for Communications, Informatization and communication technologies S.Shermatov and others elaborated on the theme.

Best Soft Uzbekistan-2013 exhibition, which is expanding year by year, is a vivid manifestation of these trends. As an example, last year it was attended by about 40 national software developers, presenting more than 80 designs, this year the number reached 60 companies with some 120 software products. Among them are international IT-companies, manufacturers and integrators, content developers, service providers.

- The market of software Uzbekistan has great potential and is of a growing interest to foreign IT companies, - said General Director of SK c&c company Daniel Kim (South Korea). - Therefore, through the exhibition we plan to establish cooperation with Uzbek companies and organizations in developing and implementing the latest software.

The stand of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies and its regional affiliates drew considerable interest. University students presented a multimedia tutorial for distance learning course \"Multimedia software packages\", electronic translator software, mobile navigation in the English language and the system of registration and attendance using plastic cards.

No less interesting is the stand of the «BePro» Center of programmers, successor to the Center of training and support for young programmers of Uzbekistan.

Best Soft Uzbekistan-2013 particularly focuses on implementation of \"e-government\" - a new form of organization of the activity of public authorities that provides qualitatively new level of efficiency and convenience through the extensive use of information and communication technologies.

Formation of the electronic government in Uzbekistanhas become one of the priorities. This is due to the ongoing wide-scale reforms in the country on consistent application of information and communication technologies in all spheres of governance. At present over 400 interactive online government services are rendered via the web-sites of state authorities and the governmental portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Ministries of Justice and Public Education, State Tax Committee, State Committee of Statistics, the Chamber of Commerce, Uzbekenergo state joint-stock company and others demonstrate their online services at the exhibition.
