Banks will send 406.4 billion soums to businesses providing services in rural areas
Uzbekistan has approved a program to further accelerate the development of the service sector in rural areas for 2013-2016.

According to experts, the document will provide an accelerated and balanced development of the service sector in rural areas, improve access of rural residents to the modern high-tech market and types of services on this basis to create new jobs and increase incomes.

In particular, the program provides a two times increase in the volume of tourism services as well as services in the areas of communication and information, trade and catering, 1.9 times - personal services and services for repair and maintenance of the equipment, a 1.8 times - in health care services, computer programming.

To intensify the development of the service sector in the country, in 2013-2016, a new order is introduced, in which the activities of small businesses that provide services in rural areas and make timely payment of taxes and other obligatory payments, reporting to the tax and statistical authorities, as well as providing sustainable growth and profitability is not subject to the financial and business checks.

A particular importance will be given to the development of the sector of financial services. For example, commercial banks through their branches will extend the provision of bank loans to businesses. In general, 406.4 billion soums is to be allocated, including 75.7 billion soums in 2013. The banks will also increase the volume of consumer loans to residents of rural areas, especially for the purchase of furniture, electrical goods and other household items. In parallel, in the regions will created specialized chain domestic manufacturer stores to sell electrical goods, where people will be able to loan funds, purchase the necessary appliances. In addition, the program provides for the establishment of rural 111 mini-banks and 259 savings banks special, 49 units of leasing companies and installation 35.6 thousands of payment points.

In the area of public services the creation of 10.6 million of consumer services is anticipated, of which 4,000 workshops for making and repairing clothes, shoes, household appliances, automobiles and other vehicles, 1.6 thousand hairdressers, 601 photographer’s studios, 23 service centers, 87 laundries, 4.2 thousand enterprises to provide other public services.

Technical services will be actively developed. For example, there are plans to establish additional 201 base stations of mobile communication of CDMA standard with the introduction of mobile broadband EVDO, to organize 55 new service points to improve the quality of telephone services, to expand a national network of \"Electronic Education\" by connecting of 200 professional colleges to the network of ZiyoNET. A special attention will be given to the introduction of technology to the work of the national postal service. Modern electronic services will be provided in 188 post offices across the country, and postmen of 200 rural post offices will be equipped with mobile banking terminals for receiving payments from the public.

A focus in the program on travel services is to be noted, too. For example, in the next few years 14 tourist routes in rural areas for at least 500,000 tourists annually will be developed and implemented. In general, it is planned to build 42 the road infrastructure complexes to service tourists, 8 hotels, 1 camping, 1 motel, to meet modern requirements to the quality of tourist services at international standards. In this case, do not forget about the transport component. By 2017 it is planned to bring the total number of road routes for transportation of villagers to 3 thousand with creation of 207 routes. To improve the efficiency of the route network, it is planned to expand the trucks and passenger vehicle fleet by leasing to businesses in rural areas in 2,320 vehicles, including in 2013 - 500. Stable Outlook Machine-building enterprises of Uzbekistan for the first quarter of 2013 produced products for more than US$2 trillion soums with a growth rate of 18.9% compared to the same period of last year.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in the first quarter, the country produced 46.603 cars. This figure exceeded the previous year\'s figure by 13.8%. It should be noted that the production of commercial vehicles increased by 4.1 times, specialized - by 28%, passenger cars - by 12.1%.

Large industrial enterprises increased production of agricultural machinery, combine both cars (11.3 times), trailers (by 5.6 times), tractors (16.7%), harrows (1.6 times). Also, significantly increased the production of electrical products and, in particular, self-supporting insulated wire - 2.6 times, wires, radio frequency cables - 2.4 times, household wires - by 97.1%, signal-blocking cables - 86.3 % of power cables - by 11.3%.

An increase in the release of such popular consumer products as energy saving lamps (by 78.4%), electric irons (53.7%) was provided. Production of washing machines, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners and other products were gradually built up. (Source: Uzbekistan today newspaper).
