In our hearts forever
The Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan has hosted a meeting with the participants of the Second World War and labor veterans, dedicated to May 9 - the Day of Remembrance and Honour.

In accordance with the Decree of President Islam Karimov on remunerating the participants of the Second World War, one-time payments will be disbursed to the participants and invalids of the Second World War. Large-scale events, devoted to this date, are in progress across the country.

These meetings with veterans contribute to improvement of military-patriotic education of the youth, strengthening communication and continuity between generations.

“I had a medical degree, so I was a medical assistant in the war”, said World War II veteran Olimjon Alimov. - After the war, I worked as a doctor many years.

The event participants laid flowers at the foot of the Vatanga kasamyod (Oath to the Motherland) monument, erected on the initiative of the President of our country. (Source: UzA)
