World Championship in Gira Sports ended at Turkistan Palace.

In this major competition organized by the International Gira Sport Federation, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Gira Sport Federation of Uzbekistan, strongest athletes from nearly ten countries fought for the victory.

In the competition held among veterans, our compatriots Husanboy Nazirov and Fathiddin Najmiddinov took the first, Sardor Erqulov, Utkir Abdurahmonov, Khujamberdi Pardayev, Ergash Muiddinov and Tohir Odiljonov – the second and Oybek Ergashev, Shuhrat Abdurahimov, Jahongir Zakriyoqulov, Erkin Namozov, Abdulla Rahmatov, Shuhrat Berdiyev and Burhon Otakhonov took the third places.

In the women’s competition held among veterans up to 60 kilograms, Muhtaram Aliyeva, rising to the highest step of the podium, became a four-time world champion. Among women adults, she has won the silver medal.

Mahfirat Inoyatullayeva, Shahlo Pardanova limited with silver, Dilnoza Ismoilova and Nigora Khudoyberdiyeva with bronze medals.

Kristian Borjelo, Olex Ilika from Italy, Kristof Simao from France, Pantelis Felikidis of Greece, Taras Panchuk, Andrey Katrushka, Nikolay Tkachuk from Ukraine, Aleksandr Golubitskiy, Kirill Kondrabayev, Ilfat Zamaldinov of Russia, Sergey Karpovich, Andrey Kuchmel from Belarus, Baurjan Bekbosinov, Urozbek Medetboyev from Kazakhstan took place among winners and prize-winners. Among women, Olena Kojushko, Marina Murinets, Olena Korotkova from Ukraine, Yekaterina Lekmotseva from Russia and Svetlana Yuzuk from Kazakhstan also rose to the podium.(Source:UzA)
