President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov is to pay an official visit to the Russian Federation on April 14-15 on the invitation of President Vladimir Putin.

During the visit the heads of our two states are expected to discuss issues concerning the further development of bilateral cooperation and exchange views on pressing regional and international topics.

Documents planned to be signed in Moscow include the 2013-2017 program for economic cooperation and agreement on the encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments. These and other papers anticipated to be inked are designed to materialize the provisions of the Declaration on Enhancement of Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation penned June 4, 2012, by the presidents of our two nations.
