Secretary of State of the United States John F.Kerry held a meeting with delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov on March 12, 2013 in Washington, D.C.
During the meeting the two sides discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral relations.
It was noted that regular dialogue and mutual visits at the political level, inter-parliamentary contacts, business meetings, cultural and humanitarian ties can progressively expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
It was emphasized that Uzbekistan and the United States consider as a priority the expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation, implementation of joint high-tech projects in various areas of the economy.
The sides have also exchanged views on major international and regional issues, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
