International conference aimed at uniting the efforts of scientists, public officials and leading specialists of Uzbekistan and foreign countries on development of ways to solve issues of social protection and adaptation of socially vulnerable children.

In particular, forum participants, consisting of representatives of state bodies, international organizations, including UNICEF and UNESCO, foreign and local specialists in the fields of social protection of children, discussed issues of socialization and adaptation of orphans and children - victims of natural disasters, terrorist acts and other forms of physical and psychological violence.

The conference also addressed the topics of social adaptation of children with special needs, prophylactics of asocial behavior and social-psychological rehabilitation of minors in the environment of educational-labour settlements, legal protection of children against social and legal risks, as well as prevention of homelessness. Participants also reviewed the legislation on education, medical and social rehabilitation of children with disabilities.
