These days, educational activities, literary evenings, scientific conferences and poetry readings dedicated to the 572nd anniversary of the great thinker and poet Alisher Navoi are being conducted in our country.

According to the tradition, an event dedicated to this date was held in the National Park of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi on 9 February.

On this occasion, the members of the Senate, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of various ministries and agencies, creative unions, teachers, mahalla activists, as well as students were gathered here.

Hero of Uzbekistan, people\'s poet Abdulla Oripov, doctor of philological sciences Shuhrat Sirojiddinov, honored worker of culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, poet Eshqobil Shukur and others noted that the noble works being carried out in our country on studying the rich scientific and educational heritage of great ancestors serve to the development of our national literature, enhancing the spirituality of our people.

Creativity of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi has an infinitely importance in raising the spirituality and enlightenment of people, the education of the harmoniously developed generation and in the development of the Uzbek language and national literature. Particular attention in our country is also being paid to the deeper study of the heritage of Navoi, the publication of his works, explanation of their essence and content. Twenty and ten volume collected works of the great poet were published.

In the current age of globalization, works of Alisher Navoi, glorifying the humanistic ideas, high morality, as never before have a great relevance. Therefore, works of the great poet translated into many languages and are studied by scientists and the general public with great interest.

Poems devoted to Alisher Navoi were read at the event.

Participants of the event laid flowers to the monument of Alisher Navoi. State Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kh.Sultonov and hokim of Tashkent city R.Usmonov took part in the event.
