The Tashkent House of Photography is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Homeland and 21st anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It is organized by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan A.Nuriddinov and others noted that under the leadership of President Islam Karimov, a large-scale work on the formation of the national army, highly organized, mobile and rapid, equipped with modern equipment and weapons, which hugely contributes to preservation of peace, spiritual and moral development of the young generation.

In anticipation of the Day of the Defenders of the Homeland it has become a tradition to hold exhibitions of the best creative works of soldiers, their children and others.

The exhibition features over two hundred photographs of more than twenty authors, more than one hundred drawings, watercolor paintings, as well as folk crafts. (Source: UzA news agency)
