Every year Uzbek children look forward to the Presidential New Year celebrations that ensure a lot of joy and fun for them. Interesting shows around beautifully decorated tree, a variety of gifts and toys even on cold winter days fill the children’s souls with warm, happiness and fun.

As has become a custom, Presidential New Year celebrations started with a wonderful show at the Turkiston Palace. The children from orphanages, special boarding schools, low-income families, and on foster care were invited to the event, organized by the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan together with «Sen Yolg\'iz Emassan» children\'s public fund.

The Main purpose of the reforms carried out under the leadership of President Islam Karimov is to provide attention and care to young people, to upbring a harmoniously developed young generation. A particular attention is paid to the rights and interests of children with disabilities and special needs, creating necessary conditions for their education, promotion of healthy lifestyle, mastering professions of their interests and aspirations, supporting social integration.

The scale of works in this area has significantly expanded in the Year of the Family. Material and technical base of orphanages, \"Muruvvat\" special boarding schools have been boosted, their activity has been improved.

Within \"Inclusive Education in Uzbekistan\" project children with disabilities have been widely involved in continuous education. By tradition, first-graders of 2012 have been presented with gifts of the President - textbooks, school supplies. Children from families with less incomes, school pupils have been provided with warm clothing.

This year\'s New year celebrations are taking place in an even more fun and festive mood. During the events, children from orphanages, \"Muruvvat\" special boarding schools, special educational institutions, low-income families are given new Year presents. «Sen Yolg\'iz Emassan» children’s public fund and the Ministry of Public Education have been organizing various festive events at children\'s hospitals, specialized educational institutions.
