Marvels of Children’s Creativity: Yangi Avlod 2012 announces its winners
This year, the most prestigious competition in the country discovering talented children – Festival of Children’s Creativity Yangi Avlod has assembled more than 30 thousand participants.

For several months young dancers and musicians, singer and artists, actors and poets from all over the country competed in talents. And then, the long-awaited Republican round comes, followed by the announcement of winners and awarding ceremony at the final gala concert that held in the capital’s Istiqlol Palace.

Every year the Fund Forum with the support of the Kamalak Children’s Organization and Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan organizes the traditional creative competition for all active and gifted children, engaged in different kinds of the art. For nine years the festival was attended by more than 128 thousand boys and girls from across the country, and 3,361 of them become winners.

Yangi Avlod Children’s Creativity Festival is a fine opportunity for the children from the most remote areas of the country to demonstrate their skills and abilities to the whole country and get further support to develop their talent. That is why, the festival organizers pay special attention to children of natural gifts that have never performed on stage. All willing from 6 to 14 years old could partake in the festival. Due to the diverse nominations children of different skills and abilities take part in the project.

Participants are divided into several directions, including ‘classics’, ‘singing’, ‘national instruments’, ‘dancing’, ‘art’, ‘poetry’, ‘literature,’ and ‘theater scenario.’

“I am always interested in literature and poetry, and recently began poetizing. Previously, I showed them only to close people, but then decided to take part in the Yangi Avlod competition. It was very nice and unexpected, when my work got such a high appraisal,” said Mohigul Rustamova from Samarqand region, winner of the Children’s Creativity Festival Yangi Avlod 2012.

While accepting applications for this year festival that was organized in regional affiliates of YIC Kelajak Ovozi and YPM Kamolot, 30,128 youngsters willed to become participants of the festival.

Then, from October 16 to November 15, were organized the regional selection rounds where participants demonstrated their abilities for to reach the finale. The second round of the festival turned a great celebration for all children: here they performed lively dance pieces, sand national and foreign songs, recited their author poems, played national and classical musical instruments.

Spectacular performances, colorful costumes, endless applauses and children’s sincerity created inimitable atmosphere of holiday. Children’s abilities were judged by a competent jury consisted of culture and art figures of Uzbekistan. This year, the honorary member of the jury has been a famous Russian composer Alexander Zhurbin.

“In selection rounds I performed national and foreign songs. This was an unforgettable moment when I was on the big stage, and renowned persons evaluated my performance,” says Dadakhon Abdullaev of Khiva, winner of the Yangi Avlod Children’s Creativity Festival 2012. “In the future, I plan to enroll the State Conservatory and become a famous artist.”

The jury determined 668 participants entered the republican round, which was held November 23-25 at the State Conservatory and Republican College of Arts. Youngsters in such areas as ‘playing national and classical instruments’, ‘singing’, ‘dancing’, ‘poetry’ and ‘literature competed at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, while works of young artists and applied art masters were put on display at the Republican College of Arts. The republican round revealed 393 winners of the Children’s Creativity Festival Yangi Avlod 2012. “I am very glad that took part in this great competition. It was so pleasant when our group ‘Surhondaryo Qizlari’ (Girls from Surkhondaryo) reached the final round,” says finalist Farzona Tukhtaeva of Termiz. “I have been dancing since my early years, most of all I like the traditional dances. Thanks to the festival I found many new friends, acquainted with creative teams from other regions. It was very interesting and fun.”

For all the finalists was prepared a rich cultural program, within which were organized creative meetings with the young singers and actors, sightseeing in Tashkent, workshops by renowned dancers, artists and musicians. Children visited the Tashkent circus, went to the State Museum of the History of Temurids, gave a concert in the Youth Creativity Palace, and met with renowned poets of the country.

Then comes the most awaited day for all participants of the Yangi Avlod 2012, and their families and friends - the final gala concert at the capital’s Istiqlol Palace. Awesome and colorful show was held with participation of finalists and Uzbek pop artists that followed by the awarding ceremony of the winners of the Yangi Avlod 2012.
